What Is an Accessible Parking Permit (APP)?
An Accessible Parking Permit (APP) allows individuals with qualifying mobility limitations to park in designated accessible parking spaces in province-specific accessible parking spaces.
Permits may be issued to:

Individuals with temporary or permanent mobility limitations

Corporations or non-profit organizations transporting people with disabilities
Eligibility for an Accessible Parking Permit
You may qualify if a regulated healthcare practitioner certifies that you :

Cannot walk without a brace, cane, crutch, prosthetic, wheelchair, or assistance
-
Have severe lung disease (forced expiratory volume under 1 litre)

Require portable oxygen
-
Have cardiovascular disease classified as Class III or IV
-
Are severely limited due to arthritic, neurological, musculoskeletal, or orthopedic conditions

Have visual acuity of 20/200 or worse, or a visual field of 20 degrees or less

Have other conditions that significantly limit mobility

Whether you already have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, are between providers, or do not currently have one, Insight Disability Solutions offers healthcare-provider-led assessments and documentation to support disability-related applications. Our services are private, virtual, and focused on eligibility-driven documentation.

Clients begin by contacting Insight Disability Solutions by phone or email to request Accessible Parking Permit (APP) support. We confirm the service is appropriate and answer any initial questions.
2. Invoice & Service Confirmation
Once confirmed, we issue an invoice for the service. After payment is received, we proceed with the intake and documentation process.
3. Consent & Information Collection
We provide secure consent forms and collect the required intake information. A phone or virtual appointment may be scheduled, if needed, to verify identity and gather additional details.
4. HCP-Led Assessment & Documentation
A licensed healthcare provider completes the required functional assessment and documentation using program-appropriate language to support the application.
5. Application Guidance & Ongoing Support
We provide clear guidance on how to submit your application and remain available for renewals, replacements, updates, or future permit needs.
